Never use damaged or improperly wrapped batteries with this device. We recommend all 18650/20700/21700 battery mods to use matching batteries with similar brand, model, and battery state at all times.
In order to use temperature control feature, it requires use of nickel, titanium, or stainless steel coils.

The Fortis is far and away the best single battery mod you can buy IMO. It is a much better mod than the GV Solo for several reasons. One the display is bright and easy to read in any light! Also, you can lock the wattage and power separately which is a huge plus! The 21700 battery is an all day and night battery even for heavy vaping. Some have complained about the battery door accidentally opening, but I can say I have had zero issues with it opening accidentally. It’s light weight, compact and functions flawlessly, as I said before, you’d be crazy to pay almost twice as much for another mod which doesn’t do what this one does!

The battery door on this mod is poorly design. Screws loosened to the point the battery would fall out at the slightest tap. Tightened for some improvement, but still happens on occasion. It is also quite tip prone, as the base curves inward on one edge, lessening the the rest area. There is also a contact pin under the hinge, which I have been having issues with. Mod is starting to fail at this point, and I haven’t had it that long. Paint is fading to expose the plastic underneath. I have to replace it now, which is costly and bothersome with shipping and tax issues. Bummer.

If you want 100w, you can’t use 18650 batteries.

I’ve had numerous mods, but when the time comes I usually switch to another design because of some reason, many times it has been parts that become dislodged inside or the screws that hold the case togther begin to back out. I’ve had several of the Fortis line and they are durable, I’ve NEVER had a screw back out or anything dislodge internally. I do wish the battery door was a bit better as eventually it doesn’t take much for it to pop open requiring you to reinsert the battery and start it back up. That however, is still a better problem to have than other mods.

This is my 3rd one so I do like them, my old ones were beat up pretty bad but still working. They are slim and light enough to fit in my pocket next to my phone, locked of course, made that mistake a few times. . . 100 watts for me is plenty build. You can lock the button, lock the wattage, change the display color. It displays all information needed. I like the leather grip. It takes 18650 or 21700 batteries, you choose when inserted on the menu. Uses a USB C port, what more can I say. I use it exclusively. Oh my tank of choice now fits perfectly Blaze Max RTA 30mm by Thunderhead creations.
